An open and generous wine, full bodied with great fruit character and a firm frame of irony tannins.Learn More
Dark chocolate comes through strongly on the bouquet; the fruit intensity backs off on the finish of the palate.
A wine that shows a true sense of place. Eucalypt notes, a testament to the towering gums surrounding the vineyard. Cool fruit characters of sour cherry, satsuma plum and rhubarb paired with a raft of peppery spices. Sweet but at the same time showing a hint of tartness, leaving the palate bright and vibrant. The mouthfeel is almost Cabernet like, in that there is a distinct and unwavering line of tannin that runs the entire length of the palate, leaving the wine more streamline and long as opposed to plush and blousy. With time in glass a whole new array of purple and red jubey fruits evolve. Perhaps a few edges in youth but clearly a wine built for longevity.
Sisyphus was an ancient king, compelled for eternity to roll a boulder up a hill, only to watch it roll back down. This wine also seems endless, the taste rolling continuously on the tongue, providing the drinker with a sense of euphoria. This wine will continue to provide euphoric pleasure for many years to come.
