d’Arenberg Cube Project Receives National Glass & Glazing Award

The d’Arenberg Cube project has received an award at the National Glass & Glazing Awards for the category of Best Commercial Project over $50,000.

“Kingswood Aluminium and Construction Glazing were chuffed to accept the 2017 National Commercial Award from AGGA,” said Marc Kovacic from Construction Glazing, “We have worked with Chester since 2005 on his vision for the glass façade on the Cube. We are proud to be have contributed to what will become another great Icon of SA and the McLaren Vale.”

The Australian Glass and Glazing Association (AGGA) is the industry’s peak body representing state association members and individual companies covering glass manufacturers, processors, merchants, glaziers and suppliers of supporting machinery, services and materials. They hosted the National Glass & Glazing Awards earlier this week, and the award was accepted by Construction Glazing.

When announcing the award, AGGA said:

“With tough competition in this category and many different uses of glass in a range of building designs, we are extremely pleased with this winning project. With a very complex, high spec glass and aluminium façade requiring an un equalled level of technical input – the d’Arenberg Cube is a truly stand out world class achievement.

The design and end result speaks for itself! A truly technical marvel!”

As the official opening of the d’Arenberg Cube draws closer, Chief Winemaker Chester Osborn continues to develop the interior fit out of the building, with an expected opening late 2017.
